Happy 60th Anniversary
We traveled down to Galveston to celebrate my parents’ 60th anniversary. All 5 of the siblings, our spouses and 3 of the younger kids stayed in the house quite easily. We also stayed in the back 2 apartments. The house was well appointed and contained everything we needed. It was clean and well kept. We had ping pong tournaments during the night time and the kids sat out safely on the front veranda. It had easy access to the beach too. We will definitely come back and stay again. It isn’t handicap friendly as it has gentle ups and downs throughout the house typical to the architecture of the time. My father is confined to a wheelchair and therefore he never made it into the house, but instead we had made arrangements for them to stay at a hotel. This would be a great place to stay with family or friends. It was a great location for us as we visited the medical school, the Strand, the beach, several restaurants, and houses my parents had lived in during the first years of their marriage.
